Groundwater monitoring

For many issues, information on groundwater and the head in the various packages is required. Groundwater monitoring is often carried out with monitoring wells. The filter section of the monitoring wells should be adjusted in the proper layers. After the wells have been placed, the groundwater level can be measured. Because the groundwater level and the groundwater head are in a greater or lesser extent subject to fluctuations, a repeat measurement is necessary. Also depending on the rate of fluctuations, it may be chosen to carry out monitoring with:

  • Manual measurements
  • Self-Recording pressure sensors to be read on site
  • Pressure sensors connected to a telemetry system.

For the presentation of groundwater level measurement data in smaller or larger measurement networks, MOS Grondmechanica has developed its own online portal. This web-portal can be accessed from PC, Mac, tablet and smartphone.
