Geotechnical field research

To understand and predict the processes in the subsoil our geotechnical and hydrogeological consultants and clients often need a thorough ground search. In many cases, a soil survey consists of conducting surveys and drilling.

When carrying out a CPT (cone penetrometer test) a cone is pressed into the soil and when a boring is carried out the soil is physically excavated in order to be identified and classified. It is also possible to take undisturbed samples while drilling for testing in our own geotechnical laboratory.

Furthermore, with the sounding and drilling technique (lost) piezometers wells and / or inclination measuring tubes can be placed. Additionally MOS Grondmechanica can perform various in-situ tests, such as:

  • Plate Bearing Test
  • CBR test
  • Cone penetration test
  • In-situ permeability tests
